An Introduction to our Fiber Fellowship

At Wool & Weeds Wildfarm, our co-workers are chosen not for their milk or their brawn, but for the magic they grow. To walk among them is to see the raw materials of the "slow ways" in their living form.

The Pygora Seven

Our goats are a spirited hybrid of the lustrous Angora and the sturdy Pygmy. This specific heritage creates a fleece that is both soft and resilient—a fiber that captures the mist of the Puget Sound in every silken curl. Unlike common farm goats, these are "Fiber Goats," bred for a decade of careful grooming to produce the clouds of wool that eventually fill our spinning wheels.

Blodwyn: The Suri Matriarch

Watching over the herd is Blodwyn, our Suri Llama. While many llamas carry a crimped and fluffy coat, a Suri is a creature of elegance. Her fiber hangs in long, straight, lustrous locks that feel like heavy silk against the hand. In the textile world, this fiber is a rare treasure; in the Wildfarm world, it is the soul of our most delicate traveling cloaks.
